Magdalena Morey is a professional artist based in Villaviciosa in beautiful Asturias, Spain. Originally from Lublin, Poland, she has also lived in England and Switzerland and currently exhibits in galleries throughout Europe, Canada and Russia.

Her aim is to create artwork that intrigues and challenges one’s initial perceptions. Organic textures, forms and beauty are fundamental to her art which can be inspired by anything anywhere. Every painting is built up from multiple layers of acrylics, watercolours, pastels and gold leaf, with the goal of creating an interplay of texture, reflectivity and colour. She loves using gold leaf due to the additional luminosity and vibrancy it brings to her work.
